THE Alexander Stadium in Birmingham played host to its first two sub-10 clockings but for Asafa Powell, this is a regular occurrence as the former world record-holder notched up his 70th and 71st sub-10 clockings. In far from ideal conditions, Powell sauntered to victory in the heats in 9.95, before accelerating to a 9.91 clocking in the final ahead of compatriot Michael Frater.
